Dear Harley Community:

You helped make the difference! We are delighted to share with you the success of our 2011-12 fundraising efforts. Thanks to your exceptional commitment, we surpassed our goals. Your annual gifts to The Harley School directly support our extraordinary curriculum and programs, salaries and benefits for our devoted faculty and staff, campus upkeep, and tuition assistance. Your designated capital gifts will build the 21st Century ‘green’ Chesonis Commons, scheduled to open September 2013. These remarkable results are due to the dedication and generosity of you—our Trustees, current and past parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends—who believe in Harley’s mission to build a cooperative community of learners, to provide educational innovation and excellence, and to nurture each student to be the best that he/ she can be.

When we ask you to give annually to The Harley Fund or to join The Harley Circle, it is because the gap between tuition and what it actually costs to educate a child at Harley is $5,400. Harley, like all other independent schools, relies on its annual fund to help make up the difference between tuition income and the actual annual operating budget. The Annual Fund is essential in meeting each year’s cost of operation. We depend on your generosity!

We have one goal and that is to give each of our children the best education possible. As you look at this annual report which wraps up the 2011-12 school year, please know that your generous contribution helped make the difference!

We enter the new year with optimism and eagerly embrace all that is possible. Our future is bright, and with your continued support, Harley can accomplish great things— we could not do it without you. You are the difference!

With deep gratitude,

Valerie A. Myntti
