The Middle School flex time design thinking students have been working on designing and creating prototypes of “dream spaces” for work and hanging out with Commons educators Chris Hartman and Ja’Daiza Johnson. Once they brainstormed what elements were included in their ideal spaces, they got right to work cutting up cardboard and gluing on fabric to create their prototypes. They even used the CNC router to cut out intricate images of their class banners and more on scrap pieces of wood to decorate their spaces.

The next step, hopefully, will be to build out one of these models full scale for students to enjoy!
