Living Building class

Two eager juniors are taking Living Building this trimester. Between the two of them, they may have possibly logged the most contact hours of their classmates in the Commons, extending back to their middle school science classes which were the first to be housed in the Commons. This team is interested in the sustainable systems of the Commons, both independent of each other (such as the solar panels and  energy consumption) and as they connect as dependent systems, much like the systems in our human bodies. They are working to help design and build a gate for the Micro-Farm, learning the basics of Arduinos and how to best use them to gather data in the solar chimneys, and exploring the newly updated energy data website.
