On Wednesday, March 11th, several people virtually attended a webinar of a presentation given by Dr. Adam Frank, U of R astrobiologist, at the University of Rochester entitled  “Human Impacts on Earth”. As a webinar, the audience was able to view Dr. Frank’s information slides and hear his live presentation on habitability=sustainability. Dr. Frank addressed the future of our planet in the context of past moments of incredible and redefining change–the Great Oxidation, the past great extinctions–as well as projections for our planetary “forcing” from stability to instability when considering the delicate balance between global population, global CO2 levels, and world energy consumption.
