Third graders are busy finishing up The Stinking Story of Garbage. Some children are reading with whisper phones. These help increase comprehension because they can hear their voice reading. Max is working on writing a Skinny question. It’s a question that is answered with one or two words and right there in the book. Malia is making a poster that she will hang up in the school to teach everyone about garbage and recycling. Sammy is looking up definitions of words on the computer to share with his group and one group is meeting on the last chapter. We have enjoyed this unit!
