What’s Growing in the Commons

Today the third graders had a tour of the greenhouse in the commons. We saw lettuce, chard, and kale seedlings started and some tomato plants growing using hydroponics. The plants grow with no soil! Just rocks and water. The third graders got a chance to plant using both methods (traditional and hydroponics). We even got to peek at the banana trees growing. What an awesome day!
