The Mouse and The Motorcycle

My favorite part of chapter 1 in The Mouse and the Motorcycle is when Keith leaves his toy motorcycle on the floor, and then Matt finds the mouse!

Dear Whiskers

So what happened in the first chapter of Dear Whiskers is Jannie  was thinking” writing a letter is boring enough, but to pretend be a mouse -… That’s was silly”. She went over to Susan ‘s desk and saw that she about a hundred sentences, she looked over at Kevin and saw that he hadn’t written anything. Her teacher went over to her and said ” Come on Jannie you can do it.” She looked over at Susan and said ” Great job Susan your doing great.”  She looked over at Susan she had signed her Pepper Jack. ” Pepper jack is a funny name” said Jennie.  Susan said back ” It’s Monterrey Jack Cheese with peppers in it. Haven’t you ever had any?” When Jannie signed Sincerely,  Whiskers. Susan spelled it out on her paper for her after she said she was wrong. This is how she spelled it, w-h-i-s-k-e-r-s.

Habitats

3rd Grade has been learning about habitats. So far we know about the Grassland, Shrub land, Forests, Rainforest, Desert and Tundra are all habitats for animals. We learned that habitat’s supply us and animals with everything we need. Also permafrost lasts forever!  (That is in the Tundra)  Mrs.Oettinger gave us a packet to read alone or with a partner. At the back of the packet, there were some words that were scrambled and on the other side were there meanings and we had to unscramble it and we had to match it to its correct meaning. A Focus Week On Deserts

We just finished our focus week on Deserts.  My favorite part of focus week was hosting are own sand exhibit  about sand. There were three stations – walking in sand, making sand, and exploring sand.  I was in charge of exiting with Jia, Finn, and Elizabeth.  Also there were two shifts.  One at 10:00 and one at 10:30. While one shift happened the other one went around the school.  We went to many classrooms and did different desert activities.

The Wonderful States

In class, we have been learning about the wonderful  states in America.  My favorite state is Iowa  .I have been to 21 states.  In class we have been having homework about the states. That was how I knew about how many states I have been to!  We have so many puzzles about the states  .I think I am going to learn a lot .  I bet a lot of people are going to learn a lot.  I have a game about the states  .I think it could help some people.  Our class is very interested in this stuff.  When we were writing, somebody asked can we do the puzzle. So think this going to be a good unit. (We just started!)
